In 2022, Paula Cademartori unveiled a second collaboration with Illulian: Beijos, a capsule collection centred around the symbolic and emotional gesture of a kiss. Conceived as an intimate yet playful exploration of affection, the line features three formats.

Beijos, the larger version, is available in three variations. Milanese Kiss combines sophisticated neutrals with striking accents, reflecting the effortless elegance and cosmopolitan spirit of Milan. Miami Affair embraces a fresh and luminous palette inspired by the city's vibrant energy, where pastel tones meet sun-soaked hues in a dynamic composition. Brazilian Bacio delivers a bold and unexpected chromatic dialogue, blending tropical influences and rich contrasts into a powerful visual statement.

Beijinhos, the smaller format, is presented in four versions. Tropical Limão introduces vibrant lime-green details that evoke the freshness and vitality of a Brazilian summer. Beijoca Invernale, a playful combination of beijoca, an affectionate Portuguese variation of beijo, and the Italian word invernale (wintery), offers the most classic interpretation of the collection, balancing soft tones with timeless elegance. Glam Smacker is the most graphic and daring design, where the recurring zebra motif takes centre stage, creating a striking contrast with the refined Art Deco-inspired pattern. Finally, 6PM Limone combines romantic shades with vibrant citrus notes, capturing the warmth and optimism of a sunset aperitivo. A special piece, Maxi Beijos combines the four variations into one rug, resulting in a dynamic collage effect that celebrates the collection’s visual language.

“With Beijos, my aim was to create a series of dynamic kisses that leave a mark of affection on the home. Conceived as bold statement pieces with a strong visual presence, the collection stems from an imagery rich in warmth and emotion, where sinuous lips animate a vibrant interplay of colours and textures, forming a distinctive geometric composition.”

Defined by sinuous lip motifs, the rugs animate surfaces through layered textures and bold chromatic contrasts, ranging from vibrant, saturated tones to a refined white-on-white interpretation. Crafted in wool and silk with varying pile heights, each piece reveals a tactile richness and sculptural depth, creating a harmonious clash of materials and hues. With Beijos, Paula infuses the domestic landscape with a sense of movement, emotion, and lighthearted sensuality, transforming everyday interiors into expressive, intimate environments.
