Milano Pop-Up

In February 2017, Paula Cademartori opened her first retail space with a three-month pop-up store in Milan's Galleria del Toro, next to Piazza San Babila, ahead of Milan Women's Fashion Week.

Designed by Ferruccio Laviani's studio, the boutique translated the brand's visual language into an immersive retail environment. Geometric forms, vibrant colours, rich materials and metallic accents reflected Paula Cademartori's distinctive aesthetic, while an ornate entrance carpet reproduced the iconic Nouveau Risque inlay inspired by the handcrafted finishing of the brand's leather accessories.

Spread over two levels and overlooking the gallery through expansive windows, the space showcased the SS17 collection. Alongside the monochrome styles, complete with matching silk bandeaux, the pop-up introduced a series of limited-edition multicoloured bags created exclusively for the store.

Signature styles including Petite Faye, Dun Dun, Linda and Twiggy, together with the debut of the Twi Twi bag, featured the collection's defining motifs: Big Bang stars and waves, Nouveau Risque floral intarsias, and Secret Garden bead embroideries depicting exotic birds. Every exclusive piece was individually numbered.

The footwear selection included the Lotus and Blossom sandals, the Bloom flats and the Cosmic Cinderella pumps, presented in both monochrome and multicoloured interpretations.

Completing the experience was a collection of leather and metal charms portraying the playful characters Miss Mischief, Miss Powermartori and Miss Snobby. Designed as key rings or decorative bag accessories, they were produced in an exclusive colour palette developed specifically for the Milan pop-up.
